Welcome to the Podrot Radio page. Here you can listen to every show we host on Podrot, playing on a continuous loop from our radio library (played in sequence). We currently have over 13 days of back-to-back content in our library.
If you own an internet radio you can access the direct Podrot Radio stream here:
About this page:
The radio stream should start automatically when the page loads, if not, press the play icon in the bottom left of the main page graphic. Don't see a play/pause icon? You need to update your browser or ensure you have the latest verson of Flash installed. We use an HTML5 player by default, but if your browser isn't HTML5 compatible (almost all are), a flash player will be used instead. To mute the stream, click the speaker icon, this will fade the audio down to 0%. Click the speaker icon again to return to the volume percentage you were last on. Or alternatively, click and hold the space between the play/pause and speaker icon and move left to turn the volume down or right to turn it up.
"LIBRARY SHOW" and "LIVE SHOW":
At the top of the page you will see either a blue icon reading "LIBRARY SHOW", or a green icon reading "LIVE SHOW".
"LIBRARY SHOW" means we're currently streaming a show from our radio library.
"LIVE SHOW" means we're currently broadcasting a live stream. What you are hearing is actually happening live! We will always do our best to publicise live broadcasts. Check our homepage and social media feeds (links in the bottom right of the page) for news and broadcast times for any upcoming live events.
Mobile devices & tablets:
The Podrot Radio Player should work on most mobile devices. However, the stream may not start automatically (just press the play icon), and the volume control built into the player may not work (in which case use the volume rocker on your mobile device or tablet to control the volume).
Everything on this page will update automatically and in real time. There should be no need for you to refresh the page.
Below the Podrot Radio player you will see the title of the show currectly being streamed, the episode number or name, the first aired/release date, a listener count (updated in real-time) and an icon to indicate if the stream is live or coming from our radio library. During a live broadcast, only the show title, listener count and 'LIVE' icon will show.
At the top right of the page you will see a 'Currently Streaming' box detailing the name of the current show and a percentage bar indicating time left. Below the percentage bar is the time the current show started, the time it will end and the overall runtime.
Click the 'Up Next' tab to see a list of the next 10 shows scheduled to stream on Podrot Radio, including start times and viewing/download options. (Live broadcasts will not be listed)
Below the 'Currently Streaming' box is the 'About This Show' box, with a detailed breakdown of the show being streamed. Neither of these boxes will display during a live broadcast.
When streaming a library show, you should find an 'about', 'chapters', 'quotes', 'comments', 'credits' and 'Up Next' tab with corresponding content for the show being streamed.
During a live broadcast (or if a library show isn't synced with our database) you will see just the one tab, 'comments'.
We use the Facebook Comments Plugin. So to make a comment, please login via your Facebook account. Please note, the comments do not currently display in real time. You will need to refresh the page to see new comments from other users. (Live comments are a feature we may introduce later).
